Addressing Mental Health

Making mental wellness of our kids and teachers a priority and addressing violence in schools are non-negotiable. Often stress, anxiety, negative environments and other outside factors result in poor attendance and low academic performance.

By creating safe spaces for our kids and teachers to share their experiences, while helping them navigate those difficult conversations and allowing them to ask those tough questions, we can create a space of trust and sense of community. Our kids and teachers need to be heard and understood.

Our kids are having to face challenges that we have not had to navigate, leaving them feeling overwhelmed or burnt out. We need to invest more in their social and emotional development needs to combat dropping grades and closing the academic gap.
